Here are the pics of my tattoos. Below each is a brief explanation of what and why.
((NOTE: For some of them I've altered the lighting and stuff to make them easier to see. I don't have bright red/pink skin))
This is my tribal cat. In the past some people have mistaken it for a rodent, and in one case a woman in a mask. I assure you, it's a cat. This the biggest of my tattoos and is the only one to feature a colour besides black/grey. This tattoo took around 45 minutes to do and cost around 55.
A dragon. I tried to avoid any cliches here so I chose (what I hope) is an original design. This tattoo stands out more from my others because of the style. Here I went for a shaded in look rather than my usual all black tribal. Oh yeah, and one very dumb bint thought it was a horse *FWAP*. Actually while I was having this one done I had a slight panic attack and nearly told the tattooist to just leave it as an outline. Thankfully he talked me round, and it was finished. This took half an hour and cost 45.
.Ok, above are 3 tattoo's that are kinda themed. The ones on the left and right are the same design (though not identical, they are roughly the same size). These 2 are of lions (With tribal extras) facing each other. The one on the right was the first tattoo I ever had done and because it was such a specific style I decided to have it mirrored, rather than have a separate design that would clash. The one in the middle is a symbol of balance. This was to basically finish off the design, which is now 2 things the same but opposite, facing towards a balance. (ramble ramble). So... the 2 lions both took around 45 minutes to do and cost between 40-50 (I was charged differently for the second one). The balance symbol only took 15 minutes, but I had to be very still because it's such a fiddly design. That one cost 15.
Some peple may recognise this one. For those who don't, I'll explain. This is from the film HEDWIG and the ANGRY INCH. This symbol is used during one of the film's song sequences to represent the origin of love. The general idea is that at one time or another we where made of two people, ourself and our soul mate. Anyway the gods got all arsey and decided to punish us. They hurled bolts of lightning, which split us into 2 halves. Then those 2 halves were scattered to opposite corners of the world. The symbol represents finding your true love and re-joining to become a whole. So yes, it's a horribly sentimental tattoo about love and stuff. Still, love is good.
This tattoo took 5 minutes to do (that's to have it drawn out included) and cost 10. It's tiny, trust me.
